Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive and respectful environment where couples can learn practical relationship skills together.
Our facilitators are trained professionals with experience supporting couples using evidence-based approaches grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Karen O’Connor MBACP, BSc. in Public Health, Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Health Communication.
I have worked in the field of mental health for many years and am deeply passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing and relationships. After qualifying as a counsellor, I was drawn immediately to couples counselling, an area that has always fascinated me and one in which I am committed to helping couples create stronger, more connected relationships.
I have completed a number of specialist trainings in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that I believe provides a highly effective framework for helping couples strengthen emotional bonds and navigate relationship challenges.
I am delighted to be part of the team bringing the Hold Me Tight programme to couples in Northern Ireland. I hope it will provide a meaningful, informative, and transformative experience, helping couples deepen their understanding of one another and build stronger, more secure connections.
Mark Peters BSc (Hons) Psychology, MBACP (Accred).
When I did personal psychotherapy I healed my emotional wounds. I felt much better about myself and I then wanted to become a psychotherapist to help others who were in emotional pain.
I have a private practice where I provide psychotherapy, coaching and supervision. I specialise in couples therapy to help people struggling with their relationships. It is a privilege to be trusted by my clients to share their struggles. It is so rewarding to help people grow towards becoming the best version of themselves.
Sandra Rodgers, MSc (Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy). MBACP(Accred). Diploma in Counselling Supervision. Certified Couples Therapist.
I have worked in counselling and psychotherapy for over 25 years and have a special interest in psychological trauma and the impact it can have on our well-being and our relationships.
I am a certified therapist in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and assist on EFCT Training Courses. This model gives me an excellent framework to use in my work with couples. I look forward to being part of the team facilitating the ‘Hold me Tight’ workshop and sharing this wonderful programme with you, to help repair and strengthen your romantic relationship.
Anne Moore Anne Moore PG Cert. BA (Hons) MBACP (Accred), Psychotherapist & Supervisor.
I am a systemic, attachment-based therapist with extensive training in EFT. I am passionate about building healthy relationships and helping others to do the same.
I’ve worked in the community and voluntary sector for over 25 years, and with individual and couples therapy for almost a decade.
Discovering EFT and the work of Sue Johnson has been transforming for me, both personally and professionally. EFT helps slow down reactive cycles, it can remove blame and criticism and provide space for understanding. I'm excited to be able to continue to support couples move towards secure, deeper connections and to build the relationship they always wanted.
